The European Union accomplished significantimprovements, becoming be a ?superinternational? union rather than an?international union?. The European Union created significant improvementsin a lot of fields, about developing common thing in both politically and sociallyreturns in Union, in that way significant are done.Turkey?s fishing sector is improving fast; on the contrary, it is facing bigproblems during the adapting process of the European Union. Fishery sheltersare important problems and come first. Turkey?s fishery shelters could notdeveloped enough. Turkey, is at the beginning process of the European Union it,must find necessesary steps and needs immediately to compete with theEuropean Union?s members in the fishing sector.The first part of this study, talks about the European Union Common theFisheries Policy.The second part, studies Turkey?s fishing industry and the situation ofthe fishing sector in Turkey.In the third part, about the Common Fishery Policy of the EuropeanUnion, Turkey?s policies on the harmonization with the European Union andthe European Union?s report about Turkey?s situation in fishing industry arestudied.In the fourth part, Turkey?s situation in fishery shelters situation isexamined and some solutions about these troubles, are recommended in theconclusion.Key Words: 1) European Union, 2) Fishery Policies, 3) Fishery Shelterii
