Research and development (R&D) activities are the most important element in nowadays computational environment. In developed countries the firms give high importance to R&D activities then the existing producing.Firms finance in different ways. Occasionally, R&D activities are done in cooperation. One of the cooperation ways is EU 7. Framework Programs.In this context, R&D components and finance methods, defense sector?s development and R&D activities development in the world and in Turkey were examined. EU 6 and 7 Framework Programs, the defense firms progress in these Programs and what should be done in order to raise the progress were analyzed in this Theses.
