International transporting and trade at the persian gulf in the term of the Abbasids

Özet (EN)

In Abbasy period which we mentioned, The Persian Gulf which lived its the most stable and the safest period, developed in international transporting and trade thanks to reliance that confidence provided. This improvement in commercial meaning was seen at not only The Persian Gulf but also at nearly all of the east seas. The Abbasids took some measures for improving the trade, accordingly, The Persian Gulf became one of the most important trade chutes in Asia. Through this way, the products of India, China, and Southeast Asia, transported to Iraq and Damascus bazaars, to Anatolia, Egypt, North Africa, Andalucia, in Europe and Russia. Likewise, also commercial products which came from these regions, was transported to India and The Far East by following the same ways. As well main roads and seaways which pass on The Persian Gulf, transported to almost all of the most important cities of that period. (Basra, Baghdad, Aleppo, Damask, Cairo, Kayrawan, Cordoba, Granada, Constantine). This situation gradually increased the importance of The Abbasids and got Abbasy sultanate surpassed on former managements. The Persian Gulf, which lived its best period in Abbasy caliphate, contributed to both commercial arena and Islam conquests which will be become fact at east. In one way The Persian Gulf undertook a duty as a door which Muslims can go from Arabia to east. Particularly Abbasy ruler who supplied political protection to Muslim traders aganist dangers and difficulties on commercial journeys conduced trade to reach wide geographies. Thus, Islam culture and religion were moved to The Indian Ocean without war and all innovations that can happen in The Indian Ocean basin were enabled. As a matter of fact, nowadays some regions like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines which had a big Muslim population, had an opportunity to meet Islamism as a result of activities of Muslim traders in that period.Key Words: The Abbasids, The Persian Gulf, Baghdad, The Far East, Trade.
