In Abdulvehhâb Îsâvî's novel Ed-Dîvanu'l-İsbartî, the atrocities that took place after the French occupation of Algeria between 1816 and 1833 and the struggle of the people are told by five characters, with a chapter devoted to each character, and the events experienced from the characters' perspectives. As a result of the anger accumulated inside Caviar, a former French soldier, because he was kidnapped and enslaved by pirates while fishing and the torture he experienced during this time, France invaded Algeria at the end of the road he set out to take revenge for what he experienced. After this period, Caviar, who was a slave and tortured, became a master and tortured the Algerian people. In our study, Abdulvehhâb Îsâvî's novel Ed-Dîvanu'l-İsbartî is divided into two parts; in the first part, the author's life, works and literary personality are explained, and in the second part, the technical elements of the novel are exemplified and two prominent themes are cited.
