The geography of Turkestan is one of the regions where Turkish tribes are concentrated. Many literary works have been given in Turkestan, where oral and written literature is rich. In order to establish dominance of the Russians in Turkestan, various pressures were established in the geography. With the Russian domination in Turkestan, the period of decline in education and cultural areas in Turkestan started from the 18th century. İsmail Gaspıralı Bey started the jadid movement in order to take precautions against the regression in Turkestan. The Cedit movement was first seen in the northern regions of Turkestan. İsmail Bey was influential in all of Turkestan with the speech of Gaspıralı. The Cedit movement has greatly affected the geography of today's Uzbekistan. Abdurauf Fıtrat, one of the founders of modern Uzbek literature and language, is one of the pioneers of the Cedit movement. Abdurauf Fıtrat became one of the Uzbek writers representing the mission of the jadid movement. The Cedit movement has been a very important intellectual movement for writers and intellectuals from Turkistan. In the thesis study, the traces of the jadid movement in Fıtrat's life, novels and stories were examined. The socio-political events that make up the Cedit movement are discussed.
