The edition criticism and assessment of the work titled el-Muâdil written up by Abdurrahîm el-Mar'aşî

This study of ours is related with the edition criticism and assessment of the annotation titled Mu'âdil which Abdurrahîm el-Mar'aşî (ö. 1149/1736) attached about the work titled Mülteka'l-Ebhur written up by İbrâhim el-Halebî (ö. 956/1549) who was one of the Hanafi scribes. Our study comprises of an introduction and third sections. In the introduction, the purpose, scope and method of the study are mentioned. In the first section, Mülteka'l Ebhur and the inference method and literature of the Hanafi fiqh are introduced in the context of the works on which grounded, and of their importance, peculiarity, annotation and interpretation, the effect of the annotation activities on the Hanafi fiqh is narrated, and Abdurrahîm el-Mar'aşî, commentator of Mu'âdil are introduced through his life, scientific life and works, and the importance, content, peculiarity of the Mu'âdil in the Hanafi fiqh literature, and the style of discussing the subjects as well as the sources which he used are mentioned. In the second section, the hierarchy of visions in the Hanafi sect, and the preference within the sect, and the fatwa wordings used for preferences as well as the comparison of the preferences in Mültekâ and the preference in Mu'âdil are considered. And in the third section, it is tried to explain the edition criticism of Mu'âdil, and the introduction of the other copies with which the original copy has been compared as well as the way and method to be followed up in the edition criticism.
