Abstract (EN)
Abdurrahman Hasan Habannaka al-Maydani has written a work called al-Belâgatu'l-'arabiyya in Arabic rhetoric. This study deals with the author's biography, his works, works made on him and from the aforementioned book his critics and contributions to the field of rhetoric within the frameworks of sciences of Eloquence (bedî), Semantics (meânî), and Speech (beyân). The criticism and contributions of the author have been tried to be investigated objectively by comparing with the accumulation of classical and modern rhetoric. As a result, it has been found that al-Maydani had different views on the topics of rhetoric by putting forth new namings and giving samples from his new poems.
