Abstract (EN)

In our research, we aimed to assess the interventional procedures performed in the emergency department. In this context, we evaluated the data of 163,244 patients who visited the Emergency Service Clinic at Akdeniz University Hospital between February 2023 and February 2024. Our findings indicated that the average age of the patients was 44. The proportion of males was 54.4%. The most commonly performed interventional procedure was the establishment of a vascular access. Approximately 70.7% of the patients were naturally discharged. The department most frequently leaving to present at the emergency service was identified as cardiology. About 4.6% of the patients expired. Our study revealed that critical interventional procedures are less frequently administered in emergency departments.
