Abstract (EN)
In this study, Newton-Raphson numerical solution equations are extended to facilitate the determination of the water surface profile by the standard step method in the open channel flow. In addition, a computer program has been developed using the Newton-Raphson numerical analysis technique for trapezoidal open channel flows and an algorithm developed under each Excel macro under the Visual Basic programming language. The results obtained by applying the developed computer programs to sample problems are compared.
