Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine a suitable mining sequence ores or mine dumps obtained from controlled blasting applications, in order to quickly estimate particle size distributions by using open source Image version 1.52a software. In accordance with this purpose; A sequence of operations was developed with ImageJ version 1.52a on the reference image, which was made with sieve analysis previously in the laboratory. This developed process has been applied in limestone quarry in Karaisalı region of Adana and efficiency of blasting has been analyzed. As a result, it is understood that 50% of the particles in the heap before crushing process are smaller than 25 mm and it is desirable that 50% of the final product exiting the crushing-screening plant are less than 5 mm in size. In this case the grain size of obtained product has to be reduced 5 times in the crushing-screening plant.
