Özet (EN)

Wheat is the main source of human food in many regions. Over the past few years, Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus (Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus, BYDV) has caused serious epidemics in wheat in our country, especially in the Thrace region, and has led to significant production losses. In this study, which was conducted in Adana in production year 2018, survey studies were conducted to determine the status of the BYDV disease agent in wheat-growing areas. In review studies, collected samples were tested by DAS-ELISA and all samples by molecular polymerase chain reaction (PCR; polymerase chain reaction verified by PCR) methods. In samples taken as a result of biological, serological and molecular methods, strains BYDV-PAV 16 of and BYDV-MAV 12 of the mix enfections 4 pathogen were found in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), oats (Avena sativa L.) and Sorghum halepense. DNA sequences of PCR products were obtained and phylogenetic analyz based on DNA sequences was carried out. The degree of relatedness of the PAV and MAV strains of the BYDV disease agent found in Turkey was compared with other suchs found in the world.
