A two stage patterns were followed in order to collect the data. In the first stage, the scale which is one of methods of collecting quantitative data in order to define perceptions of the teachers and students with respect to life quality of the school that they study was used. 36 teachers and 643 students from three YIBO (elementary boarding district school) participated in that stage of our research. In the second stage, 10 teachers and 20 students from the two schools having the best and worst life quality were met and their opinions about the school life quality were examined. At the end of the research, it was found that the perceptions of teachers are substantially similar to those of students relating to the YIBO school life quality and that both two groups positively perceived their schools' life quality is a little higher than the middle level. The most positive perceptions of the teachers and students with respect to school life quality of YIBOs were for their own statuses and their most negative perceptions were for school administrations, and the girl students and female teachers were more positive. In the research in that the teachers had more positive perception than those the students had and the students had more positive perception than those the teachers had with respect to school administration, it was found that the teachers perceived the school life quality more positive than the student perceived.Opinions of students of YIBOs which are far away Adana Centrum for the school and their perceptions with respect to the school administration, teachers, social activities in the school, school life quality, and themselves were more positive, and the students who have most negative perceptions for the school and the social activities in the school were at YIBOs which are the nearest to Adana Centrum. Similarly, perceptions of the teachers at YIBOs at the most distance of Adana Centrum for their statuses at the school, the school administration, other teachers at the school, and the training program were more positive and the teachers who had the most positive feelings for the school and most positive perceptions for the school life quality were at the YIBOs which are at the mean distance of Adana Centrum..During the interviews, it was seen that the teachers who perceived that the school life quality was low, considered physical substructure inadequacy, lowness of students? attendances level, academic failure, disciplinary problems, and additional responsibilities of being a boarding school and that the other teachers who had more positive perceptions, considered physical opportunities provided by the school, friendship atmosphere, and positive interests of the administrators. The students who perceived that the school life quality was low, thought that physical opportunities of the school, interests of the teachers, friendship atmosphere, and their opportunity to be educated was good and thought that they were not glad because of some behaviors of the school administration, teachers, and students. The students, who perceived that the school life quality was high, generally claimed that the same foods usually were given in the dinning hall, that there was no gymnasium, that playing fields did not have enough number, that violence attitudes existed at the school, that some students talked rude and dirty, and that the toilets were not clean. Keywords: Quality of School Life, Elementary Boarding District Schools, Hidden Cirriculum, Teacher, Student.
