Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine rising Clodinafop-propargyl (ACCase inhibitor herbicide) resistance in wild oat (Avena sterilis L.) which is the main weed in the wheat fields in Adana province in 2011-2012. A total of 679 wheat fields was surveyed in Adana Province, During the survey, it was stopped every five kilometers and the coordinates of the nearest wheat fields and the percentage cover of Sterile oat were recorded. The Sterile oat seeds were harvested from the the fields and each field samples were put in paper bags. After breaking the seed dormancy, six different doses of Cladinafop-propargyl (0, N/4, N/2, N=recommended dose, 2N, 4N, 8N) for quick-test and four different doses (0, N=recommended dose, 2N, 4N, 8N) for greenhouse experiments are applied for determining the herbicide resistance. Eventually, in 2011, 80 populations of Sterile oat were tested. % 49 was found resistant (resistance index greater than 2), % 41 was considered risky (index between 1-2) and % 10 was evaluated non-resistance (resistance index is smaller than 1). In 2012, 62 populations were tested. % 74 of the populations were found resistant and % 26 was considered risky. Briefly herbicide-resistance was increased accordingly. Thus the resistance map of Adana was created.
