Identification of morphological differences of Bemisia (Hemiptera:Aleyrodidae) species on different host plants in Adana

Abstract (EN)
This study has been conducted for identifying morphological characters of Bemisia (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) species on different host plants between 2015-2016 in Adana. Especially, this study focuses on morphological differences of Bemisia species, which were occurred from phenological characters of host plants. These differences were showed with drawings under the stereo microscope. Consequently, 259 samples were collected from 61 plant species. According to identification results, Bemisia afer Priesner and Hosny, B. argentifolii Bellows and Perring, B. berbericola Cockerell, B. giffardii Kotinsky, B. graminus David and Winstone, B.hancocki Corbett, B. iole Danzig, B. mesasiatica Danzig, B. tabaci Gennadius and B. tuberculata Bondar were determined during this study. B. berbericola, B. iole and B. mesasiatica are the first record for Turkey. B. argentifolii and B. tabaci has shown different morphological pupal characters on different host plants. Both species has long setae on hairy leaves, short setae on smooth leaves. According to results, morphologically 2 different pupae shape of B.argentifolii and 4 different pupae shape of B.tabaci determined.
