Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the species related to the Arthropoda that caused discomfort or harm to humans in the urban areas of Adana province in 2019-2020. As a result of the study, 51 different species from 36 families belonging to 15 orders from 4 classes were identified. Among these species, the most common and intense species in the urban area; Musca domestica L., Culicoides impunctatus Goetghebuer, Clogmia albipunctata Wiliston, Phlebotomus spp. Loev, Blatta orientalis L., Blattella germanica L., Periplaneta americana L., Supella longipalpa F., ve Cimex lectularius L. Newly identified species in Adana province; Gromphodorhina portentosa Schaum, Periplaneta australasiae F., Euscorpius italicus Herbest and Haplothrips tritici Kurdyumov. Population densities of Arthropoda species that cause disturbance or harm to humans in urban areas were monitored as of season, and an increase in urban pests populations were found in spring and especially in summer. Towards the end of autumn, the pest populations showed a decreasing trend.
