Özet (EN)
This study includes field and laboratory studies about the iron mineralization for prediction of acid rock (mine) drainage formation located in Kaburluk-Saimbeyli-Adana Province and theoretical calculations related to acid production potential (APP). The mineralization is hydrothermal metasomatically in dolomitic limestones in a trap formed by these formations at the base of Upper Devonian shale-sandstone-limestone intercalations in Gümüşali Formation. XRF analysis, XRD analysis, S analysis, and Fizz Test were performed on 10 ore and 10 wall-rock samples collected from the field within the scope of geochemical static tests. According to the test results, Neutralization Potential (NP), Net Neutralization Potential (NNP), and APP of the samples were theoretically calculated and evaluated. Main paragenesis was determined as hematite, goethite, siderite, and limonite in the ore samples microscope studies. Fizz rate 0 (none), NP in the range of 8,073-53,160, NNP in the range of 2,579-16,476, and APP (according to the total S) in the range of 0.78-2.78 were calculated. Dolomite, calcite, and opaque minerals were determined in wall-rock microscope studies. XRD and XRF analysis were revealed that opaque minerals are pyrite. Fizz rate 2 (medium), total amounts of carbonate in the range of 60.83%-98.58%, NP in the range of 289,069-478,069, NNP in the range of 11,012-31,260, and APP (according to the total S) in the range of 6,56-13,13 were calculated. In the light of the analysis carried out in ore and canal samples taken from the field, it was found that the APPs were larger than 3 and the absence of APP. If mining activities progress in the mineralization zone, it would be appropriate to carry out kinetic tests to determine the formation of acid rock (mine) drainage and the environmental impacts that may arise.
