Abstract (EN)

This study is done to bring forth the originating point of the TAR-GEL Project, its objectives and how appropriate are the activities of the agricultural consultants to the Project objectives who are assigned for the TAR-GEL Project, how well they perform the duties bestowed upon them; to bring forth comments and views of the producers about TAR-GEL; to Express views and make suggestions with the purpose of increasing the functionality of TAR-GEL Project. In this research a survey is conducted with 25 agricultural consultants and 116 producers selected in the central villages that the consultants work and the villages which are in the scope of work.According to the results of the research: it is possible to cite that, acting in line with the Project objectives, placements were made according to the agricultural potentials in the villages or in counties that the agricultural consultants are assigned. Agricultural consultants mostly assist the producers in the village they reside who ask for advice; they cannot provide diffusing service for villages that are within the scope of work due to tight squeeze of vehicles. Although 38% of the producers are unaware of the project and that they do not know the agricultural consultants gives the impression about the project as an unsuccessful project it is observed that the project is successful because 93% portion of 62% of the producers`group implementing the recommendations of the agricultural consultant who know him and apply to him and implement his recommendations are satisfied with the project and his work. Training needs of the consultants are not being met due to not being able to take a regular on-the-job training. There is need for arrangement in the legal regulations of agricultural consultants carrying the title of veterinarian doctor.
