Abstract (EN)

In the present study the total aerob, coliform, fecal coliform amounts were determined in seasonally collected 15 water samples placed in Adana- Tufanbeyli road line. Resistance profiles of the isolates aganist frequently used antibiotics were investigated and the plazmid profiles of the isolates which have elevated multiple antibiotic resistance (MAR) were also determined. Results obtained from biochemical analysis have shown that 121 of the isolates were Proteus vulgaris, 69 were E. coli, 51 were Pseudomonas aerouginosa and 28 were Citrobacter spp., however , 91 isolates could not be identified. In our study, the existence of Streptococcus faecalis, Clostridium perfringens and Vibrio spp., in water samples were also investigated. According to these results, the existence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in stations 2 and 10, and Streptococcus faecalis in stations 11 and 15 were confirmed respectively. All of the isolates subjected to the antibiotic susceptibility testing showed 88,14 % resistance to Bacitracin, 85,57 % resistance to Vancomycine, 68 % resistance to Cephalothin, 52 % resistance to Ampiciline respectively.
