Abstract (EN)

In XIX: Century in Ottoman Empire, to manage income, to override the unbalanced situations and the unjustifieds, so called Temettuat Books which have very valuable information about social and economic history of Ottoman.By this origin the point of this work is to enlighten the social, the economic and the demographic structure of the Söğütlü Village.Key Words: Temettuat Books, Söğütlü, Social, Economic, Demographic StructureAs we examine the Temettuat Books of Söğütlü Village between 1844 ? 1845, we were able to reach detailed information about the bandits leader?s nicknames and their occupation also the agricultural areas of the villages, the types of the animals they farmed and the taxes paid.So we see that the Söğütlü Village consists of 114 family and a population of 570 and the big amount of the population were getting by with agriculture and stock raising.Additionally there were also small tradesmen for the continiuty of life.
