Abstract (EN)

Âdî bin Musafir al-Hakkari, who is mentioned in relation to our city of Hakkari, is known today as the leader of the Ezidi/Yezidi community. There are some similarities between the beliefs of this community and the Islamic belief, but they see themselves as a separate community outside of Islam. Âdî b. Musafir, on the one hand, is known as an Islamic scholar, on the other hand, he is shown as the leader of the aforementioned inhabitants. For this reason, his religious personality has been the subject of many polemics recently. Some people see him as a Sunni and sufi scholar, while another section sees him as the head of the Ezidi sect, as a mystical figure, and as a person who respects religions and therefore also respects Islam. Here, this study covers the religious views, education life, students and works that he trained in the content of the work called İ'tikadu Ehl-i's-Sünne ve'l-Cemaa, which is attributed to him without mentioning the polemics about the aforementioned person. In the study, besides the socio-cultural situation of the period and his work, some classical works that convey his theological views were also used. Books and academic studies on Ezidism were also used. In the last chapter, the creed views of the Ezidi sect that joined him are also discussed. With this, It has been tried to see the points where the followers of Âdî b. Musafir and the aforementioned sect diverged and united in faith.
