Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, it was aimed to identify the Aeromonas hydrophila and Aeromonas sobria bacteria with two different phenotypic identification kits, which were previously defined by molecular methods. For this purpose, API 20NE and Microgen GN-ID A + B Panel kits were used. In this way, both methods were compared. The use of these identification kits used commercially in bacteria has been determined. In this context, 9 A. hydrophila and 9 A. sobria strains and ATCC strain bacteria belonging to each bacterium were used in this study. After phenotypic identification, an accuracy rate of 80% was achieved in the identification made with the API 20NE test kit for A. hydrophila bacteria, while this rate was observed as 10% in A. sobria bacteria. This rate was 60% and 80% for A. hydrophila and A. sobria, respectively, in the Microgen GN-ID A + B test kit. In phenotypic identification for ATCC strains, the API 20NE test kit resulted incorrectly in identification of A. sobria, while the Microgen GN-ID A + B test kit was correct for both ATCC strains.
