Özet (EN)

This research was conducted to increase the WiFi signal strength that is present in any area and aimed to demonstrate how communication can be performed faster and easier in risky conditions such as disasters by placing a mobile WiFi extender in this setting which is integrated to a drone. In the study conducted by the case method, firstly, the WiFi extender was integrated into the drone and become suitable for the field. Required measurements were applied and environmental parameters were obtained in the specified environment before start flying the drone. To multiply the WiFi signals originating from the source and to distribute them across a large region, a WiFi extender adapter has been used. Besides this, glasses that allow simultaneous tracking of the surrounding are used thanks to the camera mounted on the drone. The drone, which has a lithium-polymer battery, has a GPS module attached to it. Then, the drone with the WiFi extender mounted was flown and the parameter values were documented again. Certain areas were allocated to the drone on the map with the INAV software used in the study, and thanks to the GPS module, the drone flew in these areas autonomously. Based on the obtained parameter results, 2 times increase in computer internet power and 23 times increase in telephone internet power were observed in the areas where the drone was flown. Consequently, it was concluded that by managing INAV or similar applications, disaster relief personnel may search the disaster field with a drone, take photos of the area, gather information, and quickly aid the victims without physically being there.
