Abstract (EN)

The study was carried out methodological and descriptive for a measurement tool to evaluate the competence of nurses in disaster nursing management in order to help the nursing literature to be used in disaster nursing management The population of the study consisted of 553 nurses, 238 nurses working in Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Health Practice and Research Center and 315 nurses working in Tekirdağ State Hospital between March 2018 and May 2019, and 450 nurses who accepted to participate in the study. As a means of collecting data, a 13-item "Personal Characteristics Form" and 43-item "Competencies for Disaster Nursing Management Questionnaire" were used. the analysis of the data, number / percentage, explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient were used. The language validity was ensured by performing translation-reverse translation of the CDNMQ, and then the necessary validations were made in line with the expert recommendations and the scope was validated.Total Scale Scope Validity Index was found to be 0.98.Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to determine the construct validity of CDNMQ. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, it was found that the 3-factor structure of the scale was valid and goodness of fit tests were appropriate. With the test-retest reliability of the ASMT, the invariance of the scale was tested for time. After the internal consistency analysis for CDNMQ, it was found that the Cronbach alpha coefficient was 0.963 for the whole scale and the sub-dimensions ranged from 0.881 to 0.981.As a result; CDNMQis in a similar structure with the original scale, it was determined that the Turkish version was high in validity and reliability, and that nurses were an adequate measurement tool to determine their competencies in disaster nursing management.
