Abstract (EN)

It is important to investigate the effects of stress-related distress conditions in occupational groups such as extraordinary and disaster areas, which may be exposed to traumatic influences more frequently during the working process. The aim of this study was to evaluated perceived stress, motivational productivity levels and relationships of Fire Brigade employees, whom able to work in high-stress working conditions such as emergencies, accidents or disasters. In the method of the study; A 5-point Likert-type questionnaire consisting of 10 questions related to perceived stress and 25 questions related to motivation and productivity was applied to 292 volunteer participants working in the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department. The mean±standard deviation values of the obtained data results and the comparisons between the groups were calculated using the SPSS statistical program. The stress, motivation, productivity levels of the employees and whether they have a relationship were compared between the groups. Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficients of perceived stress and motivation productivity scales were 0.634 and 0.669, respectively. The perceived stress (15.47±4.41) and motivational productivity (76.29±7.74) levels of the sample included in the study were moderate. On the other hand, no significant difference was observed between the employees' perceived stress and motivation productivity averages and other variables (p>0.05). As a result of this study, it is thought that determining and investigating the stress levels periodically against the psychological negative effects of disaster area workers who intervene in traumatic events may be beneficial for the success of process management.
