Abstract (EN)
Epidemics and natural disasters, which deeply affect societies, are among the greatest extraordinary situations humanity has faced with its bad consequences. Despite all the precautions taken by individuals or societies, human beings have been helpless in the face of epidemics and natural disasters. In this thesis, information has been given about epidemics and natural disasters, which have influenced human beings throughout history and caused their social and cultural changes, and their types have been mentioned. In addition, information was given about the history, wisdom, and provision of the quarantine application, which reduces or minimizes the contagion effect of the epidemic disease, and the examples of quarantine in the history of Islam. In this context, epidemics and natural disasters that occurred before, during and after the prophethood were investigated. In addition, some material and spiritual negativities caused by natural disasters and infectious diseases that develop rapidly and cause mass deaths in human beings have affected the performance of some prayers. The effect of such extraordinary situations on worship has been discussed in terms of religion and jurisprudence, and how, where and with whom the basic worships will be performed has been examined. It has been investigated whether there are principles that reduce or mitigate certain responsibilities related to worship from individuals who are liable for extraordinary situations such as disasters and epidemics. In addition, it has been tried to reveal how some worships that should be done collectively during the epidemics of Covid-19, which affected the world in 2020, will be performed in accordance with the general principles of Islamic Law.
