Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the AHP method, a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method, was applied to the selection of vehicles and equipment to be used in earthquakes, floods, and fires to facilitate decision-making by disaster response units. First, the vehicles and equipment used in disaster response were identified, and then the main criteria and sub-criteria effective in determining the importance of these vehicles and equipment were determined. These main criteria and sub-criteria were compared using the AHP method, and their importance was determined separately for earthquakes, floods, and fires. Taking into account the importance of the identified criteria, the importance levels of the vehicles and equipment that could be used according to each criterion were determined. Based on these importance levels, the importance levels of vehicles and equipment that could be used in disasters were determined regionally for the Çukurova district of Adana province.
