The role of the media in strengthening national unity in Afghanistan: The Tolo Tv sample

As stated in the Afghanistan constitution, the nation of Afghanistan consists of different ethnic groups. Afghanistan consists of Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras, Uzbeks, Turkmens, Baluchis, Mosquitoes, Nuristanis, Aimaqs, Arabs, Kyrgyz, Ghezelbash, Gujar, Brahwis and other ethnic groups. The concept of national unity is very important in the country, which has many different ethnic groups such as Afghanistan. The use of the media is important for ensuring national unity and harmony among societies, and the media has a special role in shaping the unity of ethnic groups in society. In order to examine the role of the media in the formation of national unity in Afghanistan, the news of a private television channel (Tolo TV) in Afghanistan was discussed. In the research, these news are trying to reveal how they want to affect the formation of national unity in Afghanistan with which discourses.
