Abstract (EN)
In this master thesis, which examines 14 grave steles with door description registered in the inventory of the Afyon Archeology Museum, historical geography of the region and burial traditions and grave types are mentioned. Afterward, general information is going to be given about the grave steles with door depictions, and they are evaluated in terms of materials, workmanship, iconography and chronology. Initially, these steles are classified according to types, then they were evaluated with the decoration and inscriptions on them. The door tomb steles, a reflection of the house burial tradition, are typical of the Phrygia region. They are encountered only in the Phrygia an deven bordering regions. These steles, thought to be made in local workshops, have many subgroups and subtypes. The common point in is that a door motif is processed in the center of all of the steles. Fascia and ornamental elements vary according to the workshop and region. These types are generally dated between the 2nd and 3nd centuries A.D.
