Abstract (EN)
Our study aimed to determine the burn out level of health care personnel working in Afyonkarahisar intensive care units and therefore propose a solution for this problem. We conducted a two staged survey amongst 145 intensive care workers who met the required criteria, including lecturers, specialist doctors, resident physicians and nurses. We adressed the participants the sociodemography data form consisting of 19 questions and Maslach burnout scale consisting of 22 questions. We used SPSS (Statistical Package fort the Scocial Scienses version 20, Chicago, ABD) for the statistical analysis of the data obtained through survey application. The mean score of the intensive care workers who included in the study by meeting the criterias was found as; for Maslach burnout scale emotional exhaustion 18.26 + 7.61, for depersonalization dimension 8.42 + 2,96, for personal accomplishment awareness average 10.64 + 4.15. According to these results, it was found that the intensive care workers who were included in the study experienced moderate level of burnout according to the mean scores of the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimension subscale and low level of burnout according to the personal accomplishment subscale.
