Özet (EN)
The wood material? whic is indispensable for furniture and decoration? is a building component used both indoors and outdoors with many original advantages. In many circumstances?as the wood material is inadequate in its own it should be supported by appropriate surface materials in order to extend its economic life. ?n this study? the effects of wood species and the content of moisture on the hardness? gloss? colour change and adhesion resistance of the varnishes have been investigated by implementing water-based varnishes on the test panels of Scots Pine(Pinus sylvestris L.) and Beech (Fagus orientalis l.) whose content of moisture are 8%? 10% and 12%. According to the study result? in the colour measurement the highest red tone value and the same level have been obtained in the pines applied twocomponents varnish and in the beeches applied single and two-component varnish; the lowest has been obtained in the pine control samples. The highest yellow tone value has been obtained in beech control samples. The highhest colour value (metric chroma) has been obtained in the pines applied twocomponents varnis while the lowest has been obtained in the beech control samples. The highest hardness value has been obtained in beech control samples whose contentsof moisture are 8% and 10%; the lowest hardness value has been obtained in the samples applied two component varnish whose content of v moisture is 10%. The highest gloss measurement in the parallel direction to the grains has been obtained in the samples applied two-component varnish whose content of moisture is 10%? while the lowest has been obtained in the samples applied single-component varnish whose content of moisture is 8%. The differentiation of the moisture of wood materials applied single and twocomponent varnish has not formed a modifying effect on the samples? gloss which is paralel to the grains. In the measurement of the adhesion resistance? the tree species and content of moisture have been fouund non-significant? and the highest adhesion resistance has been obtained in single-compenent? waterbased varnish.
