The effectiveness of the teacher training program on providing the opportunity of selection with the video technology applied to teachers working with students affected by severe and multiple disabilities

The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the Teacher Education Program on Providing the Opportunity to Choose with Video Technology Applied to Teachers Working with Students Affected by Severe and Multiple Disabilities. In addition, social validity data was collected to determine the opinions of the teachers involved in the study. The participants of the study are the researcher, three special education teachers of Emin - Emine Teoman Special Education Practice School affiliated to Niğde National Education Directorate, who are working with students affected by severe and multiple disability and nine students of these teachers who are affected by severe and multiple disabilities. Multiple probe design among subjects, which is a single subject experimental design, was used in the study. In the study, data on inter-observer reliability and application reliability were collected and high reliability findings were obtained. In the experimental process of the research, the stages of determining the starting level, application, post-application evaluation, generalization and monitoring stages were included. In the application part of the research, video modeling and video feedback, which are among the teaching methods with video technology, are included. In order to collect the data, the initial level, the application process, the evaluation, generalization and monitoring stages at the end of the application were recorded on the camera. The research data were analyzed graphically. When the findings of the study were examined, it was observed that, at the end of the teacher training program of Presenting Choice Opportunity with the video technology applied to teachers working with students affected by Severe and Multiple Disability, teachers working with students affected by Severe and Multiple Disabilities had the chance to offer choice, generalize and continue to do so. Teachers participating in the study expressed a positive opinion on the implementation of the teacher training program, providing choice opportunities with video technology applied to teachers working with students affected by severe and multiple disabilities.
