Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of nitrogen applications on Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L) cultivars at different times and at different dosages in 2019 plant growing season. The study, in which three safflower varieties (Dinçer, Balcı, and Ayaz) and four different nitrogen doses (0, 10, 15, 20 kg/da) were used as trial factors, was established and conducted according to the split plots in randomized blocks experimental design. In the study, in which the varieties were placed to the main plots and fertilizer doses to the subplots, the features such as plant height, number of main branches, number of secondary branches, main stalk thickness, number of tables, diameter of the table, seed number per table, thousand-seed weight, seed yield, oil ratio, oil yield, and protein the ratio were examined. The features examined are; nitrogen amount, plant height, main stalk thickness, number of main branches, height of first branch, secondary branch number, other than the weight of a thousand, number of trays per plant, table diameter, crude oil rate, crude protein rate, seed yield and crude Its effect on oil yield was found significant. Due to the increase in nitrogen dosage; plant height, main stem thickness, number of branches, number of plates per plant, table diameter, thousand grain weight, crude protein ratio, seed yield and crude oil yield values increased regularly until the application of nitrogen to 15 kg per decare. Increases in nitrogen doses generally increased the table diameter, first branch height and crude oil rate up to 15 kg nitrogen dose per decare, and tended to decrease in application when the nitrogen dose was increased to 20 kg/da. Increasing the nitrogen dose from 0 kg/da to 20 kg/da caused significant increases in the number of main branches, table diameter, first branch height, crude oil rate, and the number of tables per plant. Seed yield, first branch height and table diameter values increased up to 15 kg vi nitrogen dose per decare and a significant decrease was determined in 20 kg nitrogen dose. Keywords: Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.), nitrogen dose, yield.
