A study on Ahmet Ümit's novels

Novel is a literary genre composed of the elements of a narrative. A novel structure created without the subject, plot, characters, space, time, narrator and a perspective is not thinkable. Therefore, such structure studies on literary Works have an important place in literature. Ahmet Ümit, who started his literary life in the 1980's, is a widely read writer today. The fact that each of his novels published in this context has thousands of editions, translated into twenty foreign languages in different countries revealed the curiosity and necessity of doing a study about the novels of the author. The absence of a holistic study of Ahmet Ümit's novels made it necessary for us to carry out the required work to fill this gap. In this study which was prepared as a master thesis, thirteen novels of Ahmet Ümit is tried to be examined in terms of the elements of a narrative and it is aimed to determine Ahmet Ümit's place in the history of literature. This study will guide the future reviews of the literary works in terms of bibliography and method.
