Abstract (EN)

Family, violance and religion are the concepts which protect their existance, influence and importance in human life at entire periods of history. These concepts are sometimes problems and sometimes they confront us as a solution. These concepts have been changing according to time and place. Despite these changes, they have also continued to be important subjects contributing to human beings on earth. Our study has been designed to reveal the relationship between the religiosity and domestic violence. In our country and all over the world, domestic violence continues to be researched and discussed as a problem which can not be resolved and that upsets the entire balance of life. Violence is a very large and complex matter. It is customized as violence against children under the title of domestic violance in the family. Answers to the questions, what is the relationship of violence against children in the family with religiosity or may be, has been sought. This research in Adana was carried out with the participation of 505 students studying at the high school. Their religiosity level with children' s family domestic violance exposure level were investigated whether change according to their descriptive characteristics and subjective perception of religiosity. There were no statistically significant association between domestic violence and piety of the research but statistically significant negative correlation between religiousness faith size and severity levels were found. The research findings were evaluated in comparison with similar studies conducted abroad and within the country. Keywords: Violence, domestic violence, violence against children, religiosity
