Strategic management and financial planning in family businesses, an example of city of Gaziantep

Family businesses are the majortity of private sector businesses in our country and in the world. The biggest problem of the family businesses is that these businesses cannot be transferred into the third even the second generations because of some management and finanscial causes. Strategic management and financila plannning is a guide for these businesses for their attandance in the future. For these reason, the importance of the putting the strategic mamagement and financial planning into practice increases fort he future of the family businesses. In our study, tendency of the family businesses to strategic management and financial planning, their knowledge about these subject and degree of their putting them into practice are tried to be revealed. In this context, a poll was taken within the owners, the partner or the managers of eighty businesses by meeting face to face in Gaziantep industry areas. These datums were transferred to SPSS program and analyzed using percent and corelations techniques and the conditions of family businesses from their point of view of strategic management and financial planning were evaluated.
