Özet (EN)

In the light of developments in welded joining technologies, friction welding is a solid state welding method that has found wide application in many industries and industries. Friction welding is widely used in the automotive, defense industry, aerospace and aerospace industries. It is successfully applied especially in the welding of cylindrical parts, which are difficult and problematic to join with traditional welding techniques. Materials such as aluminum-steel, aluminum-copper, steel-ceramic, aluminum-ceramic can be combined with this method. This method allows the materials to be joined before full melting occurs and is advantageous. Two metal materials with different mechanical and physical properties can be seamlessly combined. Friction welding is successfully applied in many machine parts manufacturing where abrasion, fatigue and other mechanical stresses are high. For a water pump fan that will operate under sea water, using abrasion resistant material (stainless, titanium, etc.) where abrasion is abundant, and using a normal quality material (S235, S355 etc.) in the other part can improve the manufacturing positively. This improvement will manifest itself as operating performance and then as the cost of the current manufacturing. In this study, 20 mm diameter AISI 420 and E 360 steel with different properties were combined with friction welding. In welded joints, the values of parameters such as speed, friction pressure, friction time were changed within the framework of the literature, and joints with different microstructure and mechanical properties were obtained. As a result of the investigations, it has been determined that two different material types join without gaps and the parameters have an important role in the quality of the joint. It has been seen that it is possible to increase the welding quality by using appropriate parameters in joining steel alloys with different properties by friction welding method.
