Abstract (EN)

In this study, Turkey-Iran relationships are examined durıng the period of Ak Party in the specified newspapers. Therefore, the articles which investigate the role of the media and foreign policy have been utilized and as a case study, Turkey and Iran relationships are examined.Iran, which is one of the countries in the world has occupied the world agenda, also has been one topical issue in Turkish media. Its political regime and its nuclear program have disturbed the West and speacially the USA, in this direction has been the target of criticism. In this environment, mentioning Turkey-Iran relationships as a newsletter and columns in the newspapers, differed according to ideological stance, political views and different media organizations made different approaches to government's stance toward Iran.In this study, relationships between Turkey and Iran are examined in Yeni Şafak and Radikal newspapers during the period of the AK Party government, it explains the causes of the differences and similarities. Using the archives of the Radikal and Yeni Şafak newspapers, topics such as the Iran?s elections, Iran's nuclear program, Turkey-Iran economic relations and security cooperation, have been examinedIn the first part of the study, the relationship of media and foreign policy is examined, the second section focuses on the factors which affecs Turkey-Iran relations. In the final chapter, news and columns of Radikal and Yeni Safak newspapers, are analyzed in comparitive fashion.Key Words: Media, Newspapers , Foreign Policy, Turkey-Iran relationships
