Abstract (EN)
In order to evaluate the financial opportunities of individuals effectively and efficiently, they should have a high level of knowledge and awareness. This will be possible by increasing individuals' awareness of financial literacy and notion of behavioral finance. The aim of this study is to measure financial literacy levels of Fırat University academic staff and analyze their behaviors. According to the results of the correlation analysis of 322 individuals, a medium level positive correlation was found between financial literacy and behavioral finance tendency. According to the results of regression analysis, it is seen that financial literacy levels of academicians affect behavioral finance tendency levels. In conclusion, no matter academics have a medium level financial literacy, this qualification did not prevent behavioral tendencies. Therefore, behavioral finance trainings should be organized in order to raise the awareness.
