Abstract (EN)

Distance education is also widely used in Turkey as an alternative to the face-to-face education system. The open education system, which has a distance education infrastructure, is a reason for preference for many people. Everyone who has at least a secondary education degree is the target group of universities that offer open education services. The second university application without examination is an application that higher education students and graduates can benefit from. Anadolu University first started to implement this system in Turkey, and then many universities started to implement it. Open education and the second university system has started to be implemented in more universities. The aim of this study is to determine the views of academicians, who are not expected to be the main target audience of the open education system, on open education and second university applications. The questionnaire form prepared for this purpose was applied at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University and as a result of the application, 299 valid questionnaires were obtained. Survey data were analyzed by means of a statistical program. As a result of the statistical analyzes, it was seen that the academicians had positive perspectives on open education and second university applications, and that about 30% of the academicians thought to benefit from this system. In addition, approximately 64% of the academicians who are open education students stated that they see this studentship as a hobby.
