Abstract (EN)
The goal of this study is to investigate the relationship between the job satisfaction and burnout levels among the academicians. Within this context it has been also aimed to study whether job satisfaction and burnout levels differ according to demographic data, such as age, gender, marital status. The sample of the study consist of 178 academicians working at Marmara University Başıbüyük Campus during 2017-18. Maslach Burnout Inventory and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Inventory have been used to obtain the necessary data, along with the personal data form, prepared by the researcher herself. The study has shown that the job satisfaction score was high among the subjects, and in accordance with this, the burnout score was found to be low. The subscores of both inventories have shown differences depending on some demographic data. According to these differences suggestions were summarised in the discussion and conclusion part of the study.
