Investigation area, to be found in the very important structur Izmir Ankara clamp zone, paleotectonic era geography of the anatolia. Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene Bornova Melange rocks which were deposited in flysch facies outcrop in the study area. Limestones located as blocks in the matrix of the Bornova Melange are the aquifers of both thermal and cold ground waters. Particularly, Jurasic aged dolomitic limestones are highly karstified and form reservoir rocks of thermal fluids. Chemical properties of cold ground waters and thermal waters are similar. According the Schoeller diagram of waters of wells in study area lines combining the anions and rations are approximately parallel. Thermal waters obtained from springs and drilled wells in Ilıkpınar and Akpınar are also Ca-Mg-HCO3 type with 25-27°C discharge temperature and electrical conductivity values about between 600} mho/cm. Thermal waters are suitable to be used as potable and irrigation waters and they supply a part of the water demand of Manisa. The results obtained by several geotermometers showed that the estimated reservoir temperature is under 100 0C. Thermal waters in city area are suitable for drinking and supply an important part of water demand of Manisa vicinity. Geophysical exploration methods play in important role in the fields of geothermal exploration, development and observation studies. Thermal and geoelectrial methods are the most effective methods which shows the temperature variation anomalies and mechanical drilling places. But, when the other methods of gravity, magnetic, radiometric, well geophysics and well logs can be used in conjunction with seismic tomography, apart the mentioned geophysical exploration method, better results could be obtained. The data in the geophysical report for Manisa ? Turgutlu plain (DSI, 1977) were reconstructed by CorelDraw 12. Assesment of the geophysical data show that aqufer thickness is about 100 ? 150 m.
