Abstract (EN)

Thanks to the developing technology, digital games have become a part of our lives. The digital game industry is constantly evolving and inspiring. While this development in the game industry is surprising to some people, all changes over the years have signaled a major shift in consumer behavior. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's "Flow" theory provides the formula to enjoy the actions we make and to be happy in life. Games have the natural potential to reach the flow experience, and this potential gives rise to the desire to play more. Therefore, there is a link between trying to finish a computer game and getting into the "flow". This master's thesis aims to investigate the effect of flow theory on the purchasing behavior of people playing digital games and the motivations that lead to purchasing behavior, with the contribution of players from all over the world, especially Turkey.
