Abstract (EN)

In this study, the presence of metazoan parasites on 7 Cyprinus carpio and 34Alburnus nasreddini from Lake Akşehir, Turkey were investigated between July2004 and June 2005. Two parasite species were identified in the host fishes:Paradilepis scoleciana (Rud., 1819) and Pompmhorhynchus laevis (Müller,1776). From these species, P. scoleciana was found in gall bladder of 1 C. carpio(%14,3; 7 parasite/fish) and P. laevis in intestine of 21 A. nasreddini (%61,8; 3,8parasite/fish). Paradilepis scoleciana is a new record for parasite fauna of Turkey. The characteristic structure of this parasite species were described and shown infigures. In addition, minimum-maximum and mean intensity of parasites andinfection prevalence were determined using seasonal data and size distribution ofthe host fish.2006, 40 pagesKey Words: Alburnus, Cyprinus, helminth, Lake Akşehir, parasite, Paradilepisscoleciana, Pomphorhynchus laevisv
