Abstract (EN)
In this study, effect of factors such as bed height, air velocity and air temperature on drying is investigated theortically, analytical and experimentally in fluid bed dryer. In the studies salt that has a initial %3 moisture level is used. Pressure drop is calculated with minimum fludization velocity, Archimed Number and Reynolds Number. These calculated values are compared to and verified with simulations that run with MFIX Software and experimental tests that made with pilot type static fluid bed dryer. With comparing the results as in fluid bed state, in therotical calculations increasing the air velocity had a higher impact on pressure drop however in simulations bed height had a higher impact on pressure drop.
