Özet (EN)
This study is methodologically planned to adapt Turkish the Multidimensional Index of Life Quality and to determine its validity and reliability on the patients diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome. The sampling of the study is comprised of 370 patients, administered to followed Akdeniz University outpatient and inpatient service of cardiology with acute coronary syndrome diagnosis. Multidimensional Index of Life Quality is a scale with 35 items which in order to commence the multidimensional measuring of health-related quality of life. The Turkish language validity study of scale has been conducted by six experts. Five experts for content validity of the scale had been obtained. Opinitions directed by the experts indicated that the correlation between the items of the scale is well (p=0,063). As the result of the explanatory factor analysis, a six factor structure has been obtained which total variance is %69,7. The cronbach?s alpha cofficient that was used for determining the internal consistence of the scale has been revealed to be 0,94 for the entire scale. Within reliability studies, it was observed that the indicated correlations vary between 0,43-0,95 for six subdimensions of the scale. The test-retest correlations was found out to be significant (p<0,01) and high (r=0,87). In the parallel form method, the correlations between Multidimensional Index of Life Quality and Myocardial Infarction Dimensional Assessment Scale were found out negative, moderately and statistically significant.Regarding the informative data of the patients, the variables of age, marital status, occupation, education status, income status and the individuals that they live with, together provided a significant relationship regarding the quality of life of individuals indicated in the study. When the characteristics in relation to the disease, are considered; the variables of the frequency to have myocardium infarction seizure, alcohol consumption, and number of admittances to the hospital, exercising and using the medicines regularly, altogether provided a significant relationship regarding the quality of life of individuals indicated in the study. As the result, it has been found that the measurements extracted from the Turkish version of Multidimensional Index of Life Quality are compatible with the structure of the original scale, valid and reliable for Turkish people. The scale can be used for individuals who were diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome in Turkish society and it can evaluate the quality of life as a multidimensional. Keywords: Quality of life, acute coronary syndrome, validity and reliability.
