Transition periods in Alanya folklore (Birth, marriage, death)

Kultur is the product that mankind has produced for centuries as a result of their efforts. In the field of folklore, kultur or culture is to preserve and keep our origin alive from the past to the present, by adhering to our origins. One of the most important ways to do this is to transfer the traditional culture to future generations by writing down the traditional culture with the collation method. In this study, it is aimed to reveal what kind of change and continuity in our traditions with the breezes of the nomadic culture and the transition to settled life and the development of technology in the rituals of the transition period that existed in the past, by compiling all the neighborhoods from the east to the west of the Alanya region. During this study, about a hundred neighborhoods in Alanya were visited and 56 resource people who were present there and agreed to speak for the compilation were talked to. The interviewees were selected from people who were born and bred in Alanya, and people who settled here from outside of Alanya were not included in the study. The purpose of this is due to the examination of the transition periods of the people living in the Alanya region of our research subject. It is aimed to make separate analyzes in the eastern and western districts by dividing the speakers living in the Alanya region into neighborhood and age limits. With the data obtained after the examination, marriage, birth and death customs were examined in detail and their changes over the years were concluded with their reasons.
