In the understanding of Alâüddîn Usmendî theory of analogy

In this study, the comparative theory of Ebü'l-Feth el-Üsmendî es-Samarkandî (d. 552/1157), Hanafi jurist and scholar of kalam, who is famous for his debate, dispute and rhetoric, who is among the ulama of Transoxiana, is discussed. The study consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. In the introduction, the subject and importance of the study, its purpose, limitations and scope, methods and resources are mentioned. In the first chapter, Üsmendî's life and scientific personality, the period in which he lived, his scientific situation, his scientific method and theory of knowledge, his teachers, students and works will be introduced. In the second chapter, subjects such as the conceptual framework and nature of qiyās, the concepts related to qiyās and its relations, the legitimacy of qiyās, the source and information value, the elements of syllogism, and the types of qiyās will be discussed both in general and within the framework of Usmendi's views. In the third chapter, in the context of Üsmendî's jurisprudence based on transaction, the issues of money transfer leases, salam leases, agreement lease, velâyet and the blood money of relatives will be discussed. In the conclusion part, the findings of the study will be included.
