The relationship between total ige and cytokins (IL-4, IL-5,IL-13) in patients with allergic rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis are complex circumstances in which together genetic and environmental issues contribute to the pathogenesis. Despite loans in immunology, allergic rhinitis still leftovers a major health problem, moving approximately 30% of adults and 40% of children. T helper 2 (Th2) cell-derived cytokines, counting interleukin IL -4, IL-5 and IL-13, are known to play significant roles in causing the inflammation of allergic rhinitis (AR). In adding to Th2 cell-mediated allergic inflammation, it is suggested that Immunoglobulin E (IgE)-dependent activation of mast cells plays a role in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis. The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between total IgE and cytokines (IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13) in patients with allergic rhinitis. In this study, the relationship between total IgE and Th2 cytokines was investigated in 100 allergic rhinitis patients in the experimental group and 50 healthy subjects in the control group in the same age range. During allergic rhinitis, it was determined that the Total IgE value increased, all of the healthy participants gave negative results in the specific IgE test, 51 of 100 patients in the experimental group gave positive results, and 49 of them gave negative results. In the serology test, which is seen as a positive result in the early stage of the diseases, it can be suggested that IgE-related activation is a good marker for allergic rhinitis.
