A visual perspective on Cem worship in Alevism

This work studies the rituals of Cem worship under the title "A visual perspective on Cem worship in Alevism". It is a visual study on the philosophy of Alevism which emerged centuries ago in Anatolia and still subsists today. Alevism derived from Hz. Ali. The main purpose of the twelve services in Cem worship is to enlighten future generations. The importance of "Ahl-i Beyt" and the "Twelve Imams" and the belief of "Four Gates, Forty Levels" can be considered in the same manner. Although Cem, which constitutes the basic form of worship in Alevism, is important for religious reasons, the crucial function is the keep social relations alive, handing down the cultural and moral doctrine to younger generations, resolving interpersonal conflicts on social education. There are twelve servants in Cem worship who carry out religious tasks. The photos in the album provide visual records of Alevism worship services held in Okmeydanı Cemevi, Gazi Cemevi, İkitelli Cemevi, Gürpinar Cemevi and Yenibosna Cemevi in the light of the information given above.
