Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to determine the relationships between the personal orientations of high school students and perceived parental attitudes. 496 people aged 14-18 years who were in high school in 2017-2018 academic year in Bolu province were determined as the sample of the study. Parental attitude scale developed by Kuzgun and Eldeleklioğlu and personal orientation inventory developed by Shostrom were used to collect the research data. According to the findings of the study, parental attitudes have a significant effect on all factors related to personal orientations. While the effects of democratic parental attitudes are positive, it has been observed that the protective and demanding parental attitudes have negative effects on personal orientations. According to the results of ttest and variance analysis, perception of authoritarian parental attitudes of male students and the participants between the ages of 17 and 18 are higher than the other groups. According to the results of the evaluation made in terms of gender, inner directed support and feeling reactivity is higher amon women.
